Overview
As with many debuts the Knight 3X gained its debut in the arenas of
Solaris VII, specifically at the Star League Stadium in 3108.  The design is
clearly inspired by the Bushwacker BattleMech but is taller and uses new
advanced technology to give it the edge over the older design.

Capabilities
Weighing in at Fifty-five tons the Knight 3X matches the weight of the
old Bushwacker design and its Light Engine can match the orginal BattleMech's
speed but this has been enhanced with triple strength myomers which brings the
BattleMech to almost 130 kph.

For ranged combat the Knight 3X has an extended-range particle cannon
which has been enhanced with a particle cannon capicitor enhancing its damage
while maintaining its range.  The byproduct of these enhancements are more heat
which helps in enhancing the TSM system.  Alongside the PPC is a Headhunter-5
Missile system which is designed to damage the internal workings of an enemy
unit.

As the Knight 3X gets closer to an enemy unit it is able to physically
enege enemies with a massive lance mounted on the left arm which combined with
the TSM can cause huge damage to opponents.

Designers have put the lance and the PPC on movable mounts meaning that
when they are not needed they can be drawn back into the arm allowing the pilot
to use the BattleMech's two hand actuators.  This system is not something that
the pilot can engage during combat and requires significant work by the Techs to
secure the systems.

Finally and possibly most importantly the Knight 3X is equipped with
a Void Signature System which is a BattleMech sized version of the Battle
Armour's Mimic armour and litterally allows the Knight to disappear from sight.
A Guardian ECM suite, a CASE system and ten tons of Light Ferro Fibrous armour
defend the BattleMech.

Deployment
Only one of these BattleMechs is known to exist and it is piloted by
Star League Games Champion Lea Cruickshank and owned by Coventry Metal Works.

Notable Pilots
Lea Cruickshank, (b. 3098) she shot to fame in 3108 piloting the Knight
3X on Solaris VII and winning the Star League Games at her first attempt.  Lea
is a relitive unknown she is a native of Coventry and has never served in the
LCAF or in any mercenary company.  It is believed that she joined Coventry
Metal Works as an engineer and has now become a MechWarrior Test Pilot for the
same company.

Dragon Cat on CBT

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.
