OverviewIn response to their Star League era vessels being outdated the Snow Ravens
developed to Constellation-class Frigate as a next generation naval vessel for
their Touman. Utilizing the newest of technologies the Constellation was the
first of what promised to be a new range of naval vessels.
CapabilitiesThe Frigate weighs in at 680,000 tons and is capable of a maximum thrust of
2.5 G. The vessel is equipped with a Mark II Lithium Fusion Battery allowing
it to deploy its firepower and four DropShips rapidly to multiple systems.
The frigate takes advantage of the tried and tested technology of the Clans
such as large pulse lasers and long range missile launchers while making
the most of new technology such as the Repeating Naval Gauss Rifle and Laser
Anti-Missile System. Backing up the gauss rifles are forty-two of the
largest calibre Naval Laser spread around the ship's hull.
Supporting the WarShips four DropShips are twenty aerospace fighters, ten
Small craft and fifty Battle Armoured marines allowing the vessel to repel
enemy fighters and board enemy vessels.
DeploymentThe first two vessels were launched in 3106 with one vessel joining the Snow
Raven's assaults on the Draconis Combine while the second vessel was traded
to Clan Coyote in exchange for one of the Coyote's Potemkin-class Troop
Cruisers.
