Molniya Picket Ship (AU with thanks)
« on: February 25, 2023, 08:52:00 PM »

This WarShip was built with the forum's WarShip calculator.

I originally wrote the fluff as a Clan ship but as it turns out it's become a Society design.

It should read:

This WarShip was designed by the Society as a Picket Ship which can slow an invasion to a halt. With Clans Blood Spirit and Goliath Scorpion keeping the pressure up on the Society liberating several of the systems the Society built more of these ships than any other intending on sending at least two to every star system under their control.

The design's debut came in 3118 when it blunted a Blood Spirit Invasion of the Priori system destroying several Clusters in space and crippling the Black Lion-class Battle-cruiser Rocinate.  All four ships were destroyed in the Priori system but they did their job stopping the invasion and taking one of the heaviest WarShips the Blood Spirits had out of service for months .

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

What calculator?
