Overview
Initially the Jade Falcons attempted to produce an upgraded Black Lion
class vessel at their Dark Nebula facility working on modifying the Jade Aerie.
However it quickly showed that the vessel was too old to take some of the
modifications required and rewiring the power grid would cost more than it was
worth. Instead the Jade Falcons turned to the Sea Fox Clan and their
Chanelane Isle shipyard facility intent on building a WarShip that could surpass
the Black Lion.
Capabilities
The core of this vessel is a Black Lion-class Battle-cruiser with the
same transit drives, DropShip collars, and structure as the parent design.
Beyond that however the vessel is largely different. Starting with the Jump
Drive core which is linked to a Lithium Fusion Battery Mk II a relatively new
but increasingly popular piece of technology that allows WarShips to make an
additional jump over and above that of a ship with a standard LF Battery.
The vessel's primary armament is fifty-four naval class weapons
primarily twenty-six class-30 Naval Autocannons these are backed by Naval
Particle Cannons, AR-10 Multi-Purpose Capital missile launchers,
Gauss rifles and Naval Lasers.
For anti-fighter defence sixty of the most advanced conventional
weapons devised by the Clans with two different classes of Hyper Assault
Gauss Rifles and twenty-four arrays of Advanced Tactical Missile launchers.
For defence the ship is surrounded by thirty-two Laser Anti-Missile Systems.
Deployment
The namesake of this class, the Jade Lion, entered service with Clan
Jade Falcon in 3101. It is rumoured that there are two further vessels in
production at the Chanelane Isle shipyard facility. It is currently unknown
if these are being produced for Clan Jade Falcon or Clan Sea Fox.
