Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Something I found quite interesting - both my AU and now canon feature an upgraded HawkWolf first seen in XTRO Periphery - the new canon variant appearing in TRO 3145

It's a great looking Mech which was why I jumped at it first time around, its interesting to see the similarities and differences in the designs.

Although both are Inner Sphere tech based mine has the backing of Clan Nova Cat while the canon variant is purely a periphery product so I took a little licence with the advanced Tech I was using while the canon variant's most advanced items are the MML launchers.

Both Mechs use paired LRM-15 and MML-5s although mine has Artemis FCS backing them up the canon variant has double the LRM ammo to be honest looking at my Mech now should really have dropped a pair of those ER Lasers for more ammo.  Unlike my variant which has four ER Medium Lasers for back up the canon variant is a purely ammo based design this isn't a huge problem since it has deeper ammo bins although if I was a warrior I'd like at least a popgun standard medium to give me something to shoot with, the canon design doesn't even have decent sized arms to punch with.

Both have standard Fusion engines, while the canon variant upgrades to a faster engine, I kept the smaller engine but added Jump Jets for increased mobility

With the extra tonnage I saved from the engine a Heavy Duty Gyro and a thicker hide protects my Mech.

Both designs feature CASE protection for the ammo bays.  While mine upgrades to double strength heat sinks the canon variant sticks with the single heats.

The same but quite different
