Description
The Trojan is the first Clan Nova Cat designed ProtoMech.  It was developed following the Nova Cats acquisition of ProtoMech technology from the Smoke Jaguars following the Inner Sphere invasion of Clan space.  Instead of rushing a unique design into production the Nova Cat scientists took their time and produced a truly unique and effective design.

Capabilities
The Trojan is a seven ton design and is powered by a powerful 80 rated Fusion Engine, the largest mounted on any ProtoMech design to date.  This gives the design a cruising speed of 76 kilometres per hour, a speed that matches the top speed of many lighter ProtoMech designs, the Trojan is able to achieve a top speed of 119 kilometres per hour which is easily comparable to many Light and Medium BattleMechs.  The Trojan has seven jump jets, which take up a tenth of the Proto’s total weight, this gives the Trojan a three hundred-and-fifty metre jump capacity.  This allows the Trojan which is a bipedal design to keep up with a charging nova cat on the plains and leap through the air like its namesake, the design is slightly hunched over, mainly to keep the centre of gravity low but also to keep in line with the low profile of a nova cat.
The Trojan’s armour is superior to most designs including the Roc, which many consider to be the best ProtoMech design.  The armour itself is moulded along slender lines with ridges around the neck and down the back like an animals spine, this is also for the sensors and for venting heat.  Offensively the Trojan carries a lighter array than almost all other heavy ProtoMechs with only one weapon.  However it makes up for this by making it a potent weapon, the unit’s weapon is a brand-new Anti-Personnel Gauss Rifle with almost a half a ton of ammo, providing the weapon with sixteen rounds worth of combat.  The AP Gauss Rifle gives the unit a decent strike range and when combined with its point mates the Trojan can cause a lot of damage, one BattleMech pilot commented that being attacked by a point of Trojans was like being attacked by a Phantom C, a popular Clan Wolf OmniMech which carries multiple small lasers.

Deployment
The Nova Cat’s have mass produced the Trojan following successful Trials, the design is used in many Clusters in small numbers.  Other Clans also have access to this design.

Equipment                                                 Mass (kg)
Internal Structure                                        700
Engine                     80                          2,500
                            Walking MP: 7
                            Running MP: 11
                            Jumping MP: 7                 700
Heat Sinks                  0                               0
Cockpit                                                   500
Armour Factor               34                          1,700
                          Internal Structure          Armour Value
Head                              2                         4
Torso                             7                        12
Main Gun                          1                         3
R/L Arm                          2/2                       4/4
Legs                              4                         7

Weapons, Ammo and Equipment        Location              Mass (Kg)
AP Gauss Rifle*                    Main Gun               500
Ammo (AP Gauss Rifle)* 16          Main Gun               400

NB: This assumes that ammo for AP Gauss Rifles weights 25 kg per shot.
Worked out as Machine Guns have 200 shots per ton (standard) and weigh
5kg each shot for a proto.  An AP Gauss Rifle has 40 shots per ton (standard)
so should weigh 25kg per shot.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

At the time I built it I couldn't think of anything also its a design unlike the other "heavy" ProtoMechs which are generally slow and carry a heavy gun so its deceptive like a Trojan Horse.  (I may also have been watching Troy or Rome or something... this was built donkeys ago.  ;D

It is rarely mentioned I'm not a huge ProtoMech fan or user but I though it deserved some forum time lol
