Yamal/Kangaroo LKG-04
« on: January 10, 2022, 05:47:40 PM »

This Design I first saw on Facebook.  It was posted by Xander MacLeod.  I'm posting it here as I've used it in my AU with the designer's permission.  I changed the design slightly from the Facebook design to include a Command Cockpit so it can carry a passenger in a secure area, I also changed the Command cockpit to the front for fluff purposes.

Overview
Designed under the name Yamal the Mech is more commonly named and deployed under the name Kangaroo
due to the Mechs shape and its rendency to jump around.  Originally
The design called for a cargo pouch for transport but the forward cockpit was seen as a valid compromise.

==Capabilities:==
The Yamal or more commonly known as Kangaroo BattleMech is a recently developed Mech deployed by the
Capellan Confederation in its Augmented and Stealth Lances.  The Kangaroo is a sixty ton BattleMech
 and is capable of eighty-six kilometres per hour at maximum speed.  It is also able to jump one
hundred and fifty metres.

The BattleMech is armed with four torso mounted Extended-Range Medium Lasers, it has a flame thrower
mounted near the left shoulder socket.  The Mech is equipped with an anti-missile system for additional protection.
Finally the Mech has a Command Cockpit at the front of the cockpit which can be used by command officers or be
 equipped to carry prisoners.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

I would include something to increase its ground speed to allow it to either run away or position itself where it is needed.
