The Lyran Commonwealth, while supporting this in principle, feels that the practicalities of this are not there. Certainly some states feel that borders are just wayposts on the path to aggression.

Not possible.  Regulus from the League's view is a state in rebellion.  Rasalhague is a state in rebellion from the Combine.  The Marians, Regulus, Oriente, FRAC and Confederation all have worlds that were recently League worlds.  No nation will agree to recognize borders that it is not in its best interest to recognize.

We consider the current border between the Suns and Confederation to be sacrosanct and inviolate.  Unless the Suns raids or invades the Confederation this border will stand.  But the First Prince and I agreed to it.  Were it imposed on us we would be at war the first chance we got and everyone knows it.
