The True Coordinator of the Draconis Combine recently received the following missive from the Lyran Commonwealth and responded as shown.  The true Coordinator, Kurita Omiko, wishes to show all citizens of the Draconis Combine the will of the true Dragon.

This is the Lyran letter:

Warlord of Kessel,

I come to you with a reasonable offer for you and your Southern Court. While the former Coordinator was, in the Lyran view, not someone we particularly liked, and I suspect the feelings were mutual, I am not about to do any kind of business with the cold-blooded murderer who has illegally ensconced himself on the throne in Luthien.

I understand the importance of the regency for young Omi. I would not seek to unduly influence it due to the nature of relations between our nations in the past. But, I'll be honest. I'd rather have her on the throne than the nutcase that is there now. Rasalhague was a bellweather, and one that is not good for the future of anyone in the region.

I come to you with the following offer: I will forswear raiding or invasions of any kind in the Algedi region of the Combine. I think this ought to allow people loyal to you to convince worlds and units to reconsider their loyalties to this madman while not having to worry about being raided by the Lyran teki.

In return, I ask that you not attack me, nor allow TH forces to use your realm as a base to do so. I think my past record on agreements speaks for itself. In fact, I am the one taking the risk here, as the April agreement abrogation is fresh in the minds of a lot of Lyrans.

All I ask is that you consider the agreement. Whatever happens, I have no designs on the Southern Court. As a matter of fact, your continued existence is a matter of Lyran policy. If Isoroku moves against you, I will intervene, militarily if required.

When addressing Coordinator Kurita Omiko of the Draconis Combine, we would ask that proper titles and acknowledgements are provided to the rightful holder of the Dragon Throne.

The government representing Kurita Omiko will not enter into any agreements with gaijin, as doing so would de-legitimise our standing with the citizens of our realm, especially considering the recent results of allying with other states.

Furthermore, directing the Coordinator on how to conduct the affairs of state, in respect of other realms, is the height of arrogance.  Additionally, neither the regent, nor the Coordinator will tolerate a foreign party disparaging the honor of any member of the House of Kurita.  Such pettiness shows us more than any action, the true moral character of the Lyran Commonwealth.

Should the Lyran Commonwealth so fear the Samurai of the Coordinator to foreswear assaulting our borders, then so be it, as all know that those who stand with the rightful Coordinator are Samurai of the highest honor and greatest skill.  It is unsurprising that the mercenary warriors of the Lyran Commonwealth would fear great Samurai such as these.

Lastly, any use of Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces regiments on any world of the Combine will be met with swift and devastating reprisals from our forces.
