Peaceful Change of the Chief Executive of the ASU

In accordance with Article. II., Section. 1. of the Constitution of the Anti-Spinward Union, on 1 July, 3031 Dame Lisa Logan stepped down as the President of the Anti-Spinward Union and C.J Robert McIntyre was inaugurated as the second President of the nation.  Sir Arlan Rys took office as the Vice-President of the Anti-Spinward Union.

President McIntyre gave a short speech wherein he thanked all the gathered attendees, praised his predecessor for her leadership during the first six years of the ASU's existence, and promised to continue to pursue policies of peaceful economic growth and expansion while protecting all ASU citizens from rapacious forces.

The Government on Alphard has responded with cautious optimism, with the Caesar quoted as saying:

"We grew to respect Dame Logan, first as an adversary and later as a stateswoman of the first rank.  President McIntyre has much to live up to, as the Union is far more that what Circinus ever was."

The Captain-General of the Free Worlds League thanks Dame Logan for all her efforts in opening friendly relations between the League and the ASU and looks forward to a peaceful dialogue continuing with President McIntyre.

The Lyran Commonwealth bids Dame Logan a happy retirement and a fond farewell. Her efforts in opening relations between us were such that our current freindly relations stand in testament to her work. We welcome President McIntyre, wish him luck and all the support of his people. We stand ready to work with him and his nation in continuing and building upon our friendly relationship.

The Taurian Concordat welcomes President C.J Robert McIntyre and bids happy retirement to Dame Logan.
