Captain-General Duncan Marik has today announced the signing of a peace and non-aggression treaty with Chancellor Candice Liao of the Capellan Confederation, both nations have given notice that the current border between the two nations will remain stable and be recognized from now on as the legal border between our nations.

In a brief statement to the press the Captain-General stated that 'there has been enough fighting over the border between our two great nations following the fall of the Star League and I feel that both our peoples wish to be able to move forwards and are looking to having a prosperous future, today's signing of this non-aggression pact is a good first step in this direction.'

The Captain-General also went on to thank the Director-General of the Terran Hegemony in his tireless efforts to make this peace possible.

Chancellor Candace Liao is happy to announce the signing of a peace and non-agression treaty with the Free Worlds League.  It is time for peace so that our two great nations may concentrate on the economy and our peoples prosperity.

Our thanks to Director-General Hamilton for bringing us to the negotiation table.  Something that would not have happened without a third party who was as interested in a peaceful future as we wanted to be.  He helped chart a path that will allow us to continue into the future as something better than adversary's.
