Peace Offer
« on: September 24, 2013, 05:45:17 PM »

The Free Worlds League has offered all Regulan forces currently engaged against the FWLM a surrender offer, all units that cease hostilities will be allow to retain their current TOE as part of the FWLM becoming the new regional forces of the Regulan region.

This offer is extended to all who have not been responsible for any war crimes during the current conflict.

Perhaps a bit premature, none of the big battles have been decided and that might make the Regulans reluctant to throw in the towel depending on how much they hate the FRACs and their hope for external salvation.

Maybe, but by offering a peace now the Regulans aren't decimated as a province. They may lose some rights, but they're in a much better position to regain them. Either way, the quicker this ends the better for every party involved.

Not sure the FRAC would agree Regulans surrendering to FWL kinda cuts off the FRAC offensive it may also be bad for Oriente who I'm sure see the Regulan fight a nice distraction no doubt hoping something else big will kick off before they too are decimated

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

And cutting off the FRAC offensive would be bad for the FWL because?

As far as the FWL is concerned none but to answer Knightmare's point the FRAC wouldn't entirely agree - not that I'd think they'd have much influence since they are attacking the Regulans too

Not sure the FRAC would agree Regulans surrendering to FWL...
FRAC's opinion on Regulan surrender to the FWL hardly matters since the Regulans would not be surrendering to the FRAC. What would matter is how eager FRAC and the FWL is to fight over the spoils and how Regulan forces currently engaged with the FRAC invaders are to be treated. The FWL might claim all of Regulus and simply turn the Regulan guns around and point them at the FRAC, or they might accept status quo and simply hold in place.

If the Regulans surrender keeping their TO&E as mentioned in the Peace offer to me that's an Absorbtion of the Regulan states territories into the FWL

The FRAC are currently engaged in hostile action against the Regulans

Should the Regulans agree with the FWL there troops effectively become the FWL which brings the FWL potentially into conflict with the FRAC.

Any future gains the FRAC have planned is cut off by such a move - for the region it's a good call it stabilises the FWL and brings Regulus to heel but for the FRAC it cuts off their expansionist plans - although it does open the door to make Oriente their next target

The Free Worlds League would be prepared to guarantee the right of Oriente to remain free of FRAC.

The FWL would do good by absorbing the Regulan state fully before jumping into another conflict. Although FRAC might not earn a great gain from Regulus, they'll dismantle a small thorn, so it's win win as long as they don't embroil themselves in a larger conflict. I doubt FRAC is eager for that. After all, the Regulan gains were/are basically freebies, with the Regulans exposing that side of the border to face the FWLM.
