Smiling

Now this is an interesting set of events.
If all Inner Sphere powers agree on these terms and if an efficient anti piracy campaign is launched instead of this eternal war, I think the Taurian Concordat would agree to provide neutral observers for ORCA.
But I can't speak on behalf of all the ORCA members.

The Oberon Confederation would gladly provide neutral observers and / or mediators as required and requested.

War within the Inner Sphere benefits very few, and bears enormous costs in lives.

Like the governments of the Taurian Concordat and Oberon Confederation the Outworlds Alliance would be willing to offer observers.

I can believe that of you and all but one who shall remain un-named!

I hope that the thoughts of some run to dealing with the piracy of those on the eaged of the Sphere!

My apologies to the second ambassador of the Outworlds Alliance, I do not quite understand the point you are making.

Piracy is a problem throughout the Inner Sphere.  As can be seen by the most recent explosion of raiding through out the Draconis Combine.  Granted that the periphery nations and the periphery borders of the great houses suffer more under the threat of pirate activities, I don't recall any nation being immune from the predation of pirates in recent history.

Would you be refering to my statement of somebody remaining un-named?  If so it is just  my suspicious mind over the motives of One member! You can rest in peace as it is not yourself!

Yes but there is the Rub! Where are they 'Coming' and going 'Back' too! I believe you many find that planets, that are still beyond all our boarders explored and thought to be unlivable, could be their ports! In my humble opinion!

My dear Periphery colleague is right.
Pirates have safe havens in the Deep Periphery where we never went.
However the question is how did they get all the equipment they use?

Where they always get such equipment from: raiding and the black market.  Where else would you think?

Well as my colleague has said there is one member of this body who has not been the victim of pirate attacks.

And of course, you would be referring to ComStar, however, it would be folly indeed for a pirate to strike at Sacred Terra, even the mighty Successor Lords have never tried that.  As to our facilities on other worlds, even pirates are not stupid enought ot risk being cut off from communications.

I grow tied of these veiled accusations, come out and say what you mean, or do you not have spine to face your peers with you petty clams?

My suspitions did run towards Comstar, 'However' they do run more to the rimward side! We of the Outworlds Alliance do not have a large intelligence community! So we have to turn to other to provide information to this Council Body. Inturn to us, in the Periphery States.  That information seems, somewhat, screened and thin at times!

Sir do you have reason to feel guilty? We of this council are not, at least I am not saying Comstar is behind these Pirate attacks. It may be a faction of a certain State or of Comstar. Or the Pirates have set up an underworld intelligence Net work!

Checking a few notes of his notecomp - turns to address the Outworlds Delegations

"Peculiar you would mention a "sect" or "faction" of the Order. Is there a reason for such cavalier accusations or just simple minded fears? Has ComStar's actions in the Alliance's past prompted a critical review?"

"Look to your own borders for answers Ambassador. I would not be surprised if the problem is closer to home than you think. When was the last time the Alliance search the Omniss of Dante?"

Shifting in his seat slightly and gesturing to both the Lyran and FedSuns delegations

"The Draconis Combine has every intention of ending hostilities. In the interim we will focus on eradicating the honor-less brigands that have plagued our borders and destroy the well-spring from which they have sprung. But first we are looking to reorganize our borders with our neighbors back to their 2750 lines, not including worlds liberated from the defunct Hegemony of course. Such lawless planets have benefitted greatly governed by the Dragon's wisdom, and our lost citizens have spent far too long in gaijin realms."

"As for observations of Andrion-style plebiscites on worlds reabsorbed back into the Dragon's bosom, I believe our new Coordinator would view such a measure more favorably if the Commonwealth's Circinian acquisitions served as the archetype for future transitions. Should the Archon allow a ComStar delegation to report their findings and showcase the Commonwealth's honest dealings with the Circinian people I see no Inner Sphere power with the right to claim otherwise."

"After all, as the Mr. Holstein so eloquently put - the Commonwealth has nothing to fear, nor hide."
