"Gentlemen and ladies, now that the more...emotional responses have been dealt with, I would refer you to the verigraphed ROM chips we are passing around to each of you. They are approximately 10TB in size with video depositions and films of the grave sites on Verthandi. This includes closeups of the bodies in situ and autopsies. I would suggest not viewing around meal time. Furthermore, this includes .pdf copies of investigator field notes and maps of the grave sites themselves. The Archon furthermore invites you to send representatives of your governments, excluding the Draconis Combine, of course, to tour the grave sites for themselves,"

(passes out the ROMs to everyone in the room)

"We have also video depositions on the ROMs as well as video of Kuritan POWs touring the sites for themselves to confirm the genuine nature of these mass graves. We have also video of several towns completely empty of their inhabitants, we cannot confirm the whereabouts of the population of these towns, but we are investigating several mounds of recently disturbed earth located by satellite. This is also on the ROMs"

"Our evidence is good enough to stand trial. We even have paperwork on the ROMs and indictments we are unsealing today at the Commonwealth Supreme Court for 42 men and women of the DCMS and ISF we believe are responsible for some, if not all of the acts leading to these...massacres."

Precentor Chase look at the Lyran:

"And how do you plan to bring the Kuritan Commanders to trial?"

"And how do you plan to bring the Kuritan Commanders to trial?"

"Rest assured, as long as there is a Lyran Commonwealth, these people will be sought. And we will catch them. And they will stand trial. Whether this task takes a year, a decade or fifty years. They will be made to answer for their crimes. If any nation here wishes to assist in their apprehension or prosecution, we would welcome such assistance, of course."

"I have done what I did for the good of the Confederation..."

"Both the Combine and the League can attest to that sentiment Ambassador, and your Chancellor's "loyalty" to her supposed-allies..."

Ambassador Kosh stands "Gentlemen, and ladies.  I applaud the recent advances in peace along the Free Worlds League / Lyran Commonwealth, and the Capellan Confederation / Federated Suns border.  In regards to the recent charges levied by the Lyran Commonwealth regarding war crimes committed by forces or civilians under the command of the Draconis Combine in the region formerly known as the Rasalhague Military District, the Oberon Confederation is currently engaging in investigations and independent verification of these claims along with other operations to investigate a number of other serious discrepancies and events that may in fact be illegal and immoral acts not limited too leads regarding the supply of excess equipment to pirate bands, supply and humanitarian aid packages being misrouted or otherwise hijacked in the region, reports of reprisals against civilians for support of the recent declaration of independence by the Free Rasalhague Republic among other items.  Once enough data has been collected, I am sure a report will be issued to interested parties."

Precentor Chase chuckles:

"Your investigations and independent verification are a little more heavy handed then many would usually expect in such an instance, especially on Kirchbach."

With a raised eyebrow "Truely Precenter Chase, you speak of knowledge of events that I can only presume are known to only a VERY few.  You wouldn't be privy to the contents of the messages your illustrious order ferries around the galaxy, now would you?  That is hardly a glowing reference to the sanctity or security of someone's HPG messages."

Precentor Chase smiles:

"We recieve reports of any major events on a world from our HPG's almost immidiately.  As part of my role here I am kept constantly appraised of events."

The debate between the Precentor and the Lyran Ambassador is a further proof that the question of the independent body to investigate, arrest and judge those under suspicion.

"My dear Ambassador, who pray tell would build, organize and fund this independent body? Unless the Taurian Concordat is willing to offer her soldiers to say...command by an officer of the Federated Suns, I doubt your lofty words would have any affect on long seated animosity.

However, if you've figured out a way to bring the Inner Sphere into partnership I am open to the suggestion. Because, it would seem cooperation these days can only be purchased with blood."

Smiling

The Taurian Concordat is not that innocent.  8)
We should all fund this new adventure and find an independent body or create one.

"Again my dear Ambassador, I pose the query: Would Taurian soldiers follow a Davion-bred commander if said independent body ordered it? My personal belief is that the general animosity shared between our respective nations makes such an endeavor exceedingly difficult to accomplish, if not outright impossible. Furthermore, while I enjoy discussing lofty goals of pan-Inner Sphere benefit, I find them a tad distracting from solutions that this body can actually accomplish."

Solutions that it can accomplish? Please tell us more.

Turning to the rest of the audience.

Apart from the Capellan Confederation and the Taurian Concordat, who is willing to come and help us destroy a massive pirate nest that sits right under our noses?

Ambassador Kosh stands "The Oberon Confederation has worked hard at eliminating the threat of Piracy in the Coreward systems.  We unfortunately have no significant assets to assist the Taurian Concordant's efforts in the Rimward Periphery at this time.  We do wish you the best of luck and every success.  We are currently conducting investigations to determine mysterious sources of equipment supplied to units of questionable origin."
