In response to Draconis Combine troop movements near the Terran border Premier General Arnold Collins and the Royal Command have reassigned several units to reinforce the area. This significant military build up has primarily occurred along the Moore and Nashira occupation zones leading some analysts to suspect an attack. The mercenary unit, Billing’s Bandits, has been assigned to the 8th (Altarian) Corps and moved from Ingress to Chaville. The 4th and 5th Tau Ceti Rangers also from the 8th Corps have been moved up to Lonestar and Pike IV respectively. This has left the 6th Tau Ceti Rangers as the sole guardians of New Earth. The Deneb Light Cavalry were reassigned as well from the 3rd (Dieron) Corps and reorganized into two under strength divisions (1st and 2nd Mobile Divisions). The 5th and 6th Deneb Light Cavalry became the 2nd Mobile Division based on Errai and were moved into the expanding 8th Corps. The newly promoted Major General Gerald Lowe (commander of the 2nd MD) was then ordered to take his elite 5th Deneb Light Cavalry to Inglesmond to better respond to any Kurita incursion.
Meanwhile Premier General Ian Sinclair has also made adjustments along the Marik Front. As previously mentioned the 4th and 7th Deneb Light Cavalry remained as the 1st Mobile Division on Deneb Kaitos but were assigned to the 9th (Procyon) Corps. Also the 4th Deneb Light Cavalry has been moved to Castor to provide rapid assistance in the event of a Free Worlds League strike. Also the 8th Talithan Borderers have moved up from Hall to take positions on New Dallas in case of a Marik invasion. In their place the 3rd Sinclair Fusiliers have been spotted on Hall. Mercenaries have also been moved forward to deter any thought of Marik aggression and provide back up to Terran units already serving along the front. The largest contributors have been the Illician Lancers who have deployed five of their best units into the danger zone while their least experienced units remain behind. For now the 6th Illician Rangers remain stationed at the Lancers Hall on Terra and the 9th Illician Rangers are still stationed on Sheratan. Meanwhile other units like the 59th Strike Regiment, the 21st Illician Rangers, the 4th Illician Rangers, the 5th Illician Rangers, and the 8th Illician Rangers have taken up defensive position on Devil’s Rock, Tyrfing, Tall Trees, Saiph, and Chisholm respectively. The Lexington Combat Group has also been affected by these redeployments as the 241st Battle Combat Group and the 180th Dragoon Combat Group have been moved to Afleir and Mandal respectively. The 32nd Recon Combat Group remains at the unit’s home base on Bryant ready to deploy quickly were needed.
