Wordon's Phalanx
« on: February 15, 2019, 02:47:59 AM »

This unit came around after a discussion I had with Takiro years ago.

Wordon's Phalanx
Organized by Damien Worden in 2756 from discharged members of the DCMS, the Phalanx was used as a deniable tool to further the Dragon’s aims along the Commonwealth and Republic borders. The Phalanx spent the next eight years raiding until a member of the Krypteia made them a better offer on Gustrell. In April 2766, the Phalanx took up station on Mandel wearing the insignia of the 3rd Amaris Legionnaires. On 27 December, the Phalanx executed their portion of Operation Apotheosis. Mandal fell within hours.
Worden’s Phalanx is a combined-arms regiment consisting of a ‘Mech Battalion and two Mechanized Infantry Battalions and a Support Battalion. The ‘Mech Battalion is over strength with a Command Lance and three companies. Each Infantry Battalion is composed of a headquarters company and thee line companies. The line companies are made up of two mechanized Infantry platoons and an Armor platoon. The Support Battalion contains the DropShips and the Supply, Maintenance, and Medical Companies as well as 10 Company (Air) and 11 Company.

It was the OPFOR for the games we played on Mandel both at the fall of the Hegemony and then reinforced with Patriot units for the liberation.  Off the top of my head, I remember he played the SLDF commander like a fiddle during the fall.

I'm looking to see if I can find the hard drive with my notes.
