How about one of each? The Urionverse first and then a BT one.

For the BT one we could ask for a time period suggestion and I could write around that. Anyone else who wants to do their own take on a particular BT scenario could give it a shot too.

For the BT story I suggest the time period of this site, approximately 2770-2790. There is enough going on within the Shattered Dawn universe during that time...  ;D

Maybe Arshavin would be involved? He might have been working on something prior to Sudden Dearth. Then there are the RPD units in Euthan Palace. They might not be BT 'Mechs, but they would be mecha.
