Hells Horses tanks - W Art.

Chentu Assault Tank

Mass - 85 tons
Crew - 5 (Commander, Gunner, Driver, Radio/EW Operator, Weapons System Operator
Max Speed - 64kph

Whilst the Wolf designed Carnivore was available to the Clans it was either through trial or trade the Horses wanted their own home-grown equivalent.  Tasked to make a superior machine to the Carnivore the Horses scientists looked at the examples of Spheroid tanks they had faced as well as hard won knowledge.  The result was the Chentu.  At 85 tonnes the design was heavier than the Carnivore and less protected, but it was more flexible and had a greater throw weight.

Its turret was dominated by a Gauss Rifle and an Improved Heavy Large laser, whilst an AMS and AP-Gauss rifle sat atop the armoured bulk of the turret, hidden behind receding pannels until they fired. The bow of the tank also featured a VLS launcher for an ATM-6 which, like the Gauss rifle was fed by 3 tons of ammunition.  The launcher is split into two 3-cell launchers, not a single large box launcher.  An ECM was fitted to the powerful communications equipment and the interior was designed with the aid of veteran tank crews.

The machines XL engine could push it along at 64kph whilst its tracks were split into four sub tracks, each individually mounted and suspended, allowing the Chentu to tackle rough terrain with ease whilst also providing a comfier ride for the crew.  The fighting compartment was roomy and had facilities to cook, rest and a chemical toilet for long duration missions.  With all three crew sat together their main view of the outside world was taken from dozens of cameras that would give a better view than a mere vision port.

Whilst more expensive to produce than the Carnivore as well having some technical issues with its TTS when deployed, the punch and flexibility of the Chentu, as well as the fact that it wasn't imported but produced locally helped ease it into production.  Techs and crew also appreciated the tanks more roomy interior as well the ease of maintenance.  As the four tracks were in essence modular, a whole section could be removed and replaced in 15 minutes whilst the original unit could be worked on.

Iwisa Combat Vehicle.

Mass - 60 tons
Crew - 5 (Commander, Gunner, Driver, Radio/EW Operator, Defense System Operator
Max Speed - 64kph

Based on the hull of the Oro the Iwisa (named after the Zulu club weapon) was built to be cheap and serve as a Garrison forces heavy tank.  Stripping out the fusion engine the Iwisa featured a large fuel cell engine capable of pushing the tank along at 64kph.

Whilst armed with 'new' weapons the Iwisa featured the chemical laser as its primary armament.  A pair of large chemical lasers and a quartet of mediums sit in the turret and are provided with plenty of ammunition to allow for sustained firing.  For anti-infantry defence the Iwisha bristled with four light machine guns in paired arrays on the side.  Finally and somewhat curiously, a bulldozer attachment was added to the front of the tank.  This attachment let it dig its own firing pits on soft terrain whilst also allowing the tank to serve as a clearance vehicle if needed when not in combat.  It also let it shunt aside obstructions in built up terrain.  The Bulldozer blade when not deployed can swing back and to the sides, splitting down the middle.  The side sponsons did however have problems.  Despite good vision for the driver and commander thanks to mutliple cameras across the hull to increase crew awareness, it was irritatingly common (for the Techs) that the side sponsons hit or snag on obstacles and be damaged, or broken off if the tank was going fast enough.  Some crews would remove these sponsons entirely using the space for extra stowage but this was not an officially recognised modification.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Aye the I-HLL isn't the best choice, you could have an ER PPC and save a ton of weight in total which could be added to armour, but then it would just be rather boring and basically ask the question "Why not just use a Carnivore?" because it would hit with the same punch.  So I didn't want it to be a boring Gauss/PPC combo.
