I guess you could take the Mars platform and make a Chronos out of it although you'd have to swap out the engine among other things. The primary version of the Mars and the Chronos really don't have much in common though except for mounting a ER Large Laser and a Gauss Rifle.

The primary weapons of the Mars are 1 ER Large Laser, 1 Gauss Rifle, 1 LB 10-X AC and 3 LRM-15 with Artemis IV. The primary weapons of the Chronos are 1 ER Large Laser, 1 Gauss Rifle and 1 ATM-12. The secondary characteristics of both vehicles are pretty different and so is the top speed. Besides the ER Large Laser, Gauss Rifle and ECM, the two vehicles really don't have much in common.

we have different definitions of primary and secondary clearly.
on it's own merits the vehicle shows promise but is too slow to be equipped with TAG and spends way to much tonnage and effort on passive anti infantry defenses. given it is a clan vehicle it needs more anti battle armor defense. the heavier armor and the use to the good olde fashioned VLAR 300 are bonus points

I agree with removing the TAG. This thing is waaaaay too slow to use it effectively. Might as well drop the TAG for another B Pod. Nice armor belt though.. :)

That would be a great feature for this tank but it weighs 10 percent of the tonnage of the vehicle. An XL Engine would solve the tonnage problem but would cost more.

True, but that's an interesting modification to a fairly well-armored tank to begin with...good suggestion JP.

O.K. I tried to squeeze in an Armored Motive System to the Chronos. I thought it was a good idea and tried one of several ways to do it. I could have gone with an XL but I was trying to keep down the cost.
