I'm just starting to mess around with a tank/IFV idea so all comments, suggestions, and criticisims are welcome. I know the use of flamers with the fusion engine is not optimal but it does give it a RWR feel. :)

Considering the Era this was built and designed to compete we have to compare it to the Demon Urban Fighting Vehicle and the Goblin Infantry Carrier Vehicle. both were common elements in the SLDFs mechanized infantry forces.
this vehicle carries the same amount of infantry as the Goblin, which is good, and has enhanced capabilities, which is better, at four times the price tag... not so good. the Demon has greater firepower, but carries no infantry or anti infantry gear. as it is meant to support conventional troops in the field this is not seen as a downside.
in the Star League era, this thing would be a non compete for me. it is trying to merge the two above vehicles and largely succeeds, but SHOULD IT? that is the key question. the additional carrying capacity is nice but on the battalion level would be excessive, and not worth the firepower sacrifice of the Demons Gauss Cannon.
As for who this WOULD be suitable for, it would be a house military that was more in the market for one vehicle over two. Autocannon points to an AFFS buyer, though the 60 ton frame and 240 fusion engine make me think of Jalastar Aerospace, NETC, or Bulldog as possible manufacturers. that means AFFS, DCMS, or NETC trying to under the table sales.
points of improvement to make, as you said ditch the flamers, poor synergy choice and a safty hazard for the infantry this vehicle is meant to escort. Machine guns are a better choice. an LB on the turret provides limited anti air firepower and improved anti tank, and since specialized munitions are limited in the era you are not sacrificing versatility...

Good points JBArbiter. Honestly the flamers were there so I wouldn't feel guilty about completely wasting the sinks from the engine. An LB and swapping to MGs would also free up a bit of tonnage as well. Hmmmmmmm....
-
more infantry to accomodate Rifle Platoons.

As long as they are all good friends :).
The version I am monkeying with as I type actually would have three tons left over. Hmmmmmm... Although that would entail dropping the co-ax medium laser I was contemplating.

And the Mk 2 version. Downgrade the SRM to a four rack to make room for a co-ax medium laser?

It is an interesting design Walegrin but why not go PPC or Large Pulse Laser to take advantage of the Fusion Engine and her integral heat sinks? Fluff wise I'd justify the design as an Imperial one - translation built by Terrans for Amaris during his reign. They could spare the expense of such a vehicle to transport human shields into harms way or put another way deploy Patriot infantry formations. ;)
-
PPCs or Large Pulse lasers are better at anti mech warfare, but the Autocannon, particularly LB-X is just flat better against everything else.
-
Yes sir, I'm just trying to get the most out of those heat sinks. Plus no need to reload

Those Heat Sinks are a must and should be taken advantage of.

Co-ax medium laser and CASE for crew and passenger protection! This is likely the final iteration unless y'all can convince me of something else. :)
