Overview:
Faced with the collapse of the worlds around them into a three cornered
conflict between the Republic of the Sphere, the Federated Suns and the
Capellan Confederation (a conflict that soon swept onto their homeworld) New
Hessen ArmorWerks commissioned development of a cheap, hard-hitting weapon
platform that could be sold to all comers.

The project followed two paths: a light tank and a light BattleMech. Both paths
proved viable and were developed fully for production.

Capabilities:
Utiilising many of the same systems as its BattleMech cousin, the Boxer Light
Tank is based around the simple principle of bringing the turret-mounted Gauss
Rifle - a reliable model that dates back to SLDF use - to bear. Operating below
the average speed for a modern combat tank and not exceptionally well armoured,
the Boxer appeals to militia crews on the basis of simplicity and a low price
tag - under 1 million C-bills per unit.

Deployment:
The Boxer went into production in 3137, by which time New Hessen was securely
in possession of the Capellan Confederation. As a result, Boxer tanks and Boxer
'Mechs have seen service in the CCAF with sales approved to Capellan allies.
Unsurprisingly, quite a number of Capellan enemies have salvaged examples and
put them back into service.

A shame you couldn't have used the integral heat sinks but for a light it packs significant firepower

A large pulse laser LRM combo could be fun too.  Large pulse to use the sinks and LRM for all the minefields you could wish for

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.
