Basically she's a Korvin converted over to an IFV.  I'm not completely happy with it though, especially regarding the LRM-5.  Suggestions, comment, orders for volume production? :)

The two ton infantry bay is deliberate.  The end user likes to deploy two infantry squads per transport.  It reduces the number of transports required and doesn't shoehorn the troopers in like sardines.

The only reason to shoehorn infantry is because you want to lose. I would go with three medium lasers, two small lasers, one ton of armor and of course double heat sinks. Losing the Lrm's is worthwhile making the IFV stronger in the field.

Trying to do too many things at the same time?
Perhaps you should decide what you want to do (support infantry from afar or from close range).

Gabriel - Vees can't mount DHS, or have I missed something?

IC - Agreed, a better focus would be good.  The original version was pretty much just a straight conversion of a Korvin.  I'll have to consider a few things.  *thinks*

I'm considering this a RWR design.  At some point after the CC had phased out the Korvin the RWR purchased the design and retooled it somewhat for thier use.  THough for stereotypical RWR flavor I shoudl put a flamer or three on it :)

If you're going for an RWR design I would swap the LRMs for SRMs with Inferno rounds.

Burn, burn baby.

And I think Vehicles can mount DHS but the question is more when.

According to HMVee(which isn't that up to date admittedly) Vehicles cannot mount DHS(they may utilise XL Fusion Engines though).

Hmmm... I was a little bit lazy yesterday and only checked HMVee.
Today I looked it up in Tech Manual. The reference can be found on page 221 of Tech Manual.

Perhaps the NAIS prototype could have fitted in vehicles.

What do y'all think of replacing the LRM-5's with three SRM-2's, two in the turret and one front mounted, with two tons of ammo?

Or should the large laser get pulled as well for medium lasers perhaps?

I prefer distance weaponry but perhaps short range armament might be better especially against enemy infantry.

I pretty much agree with you on that Takiro.  I like having something that can reach out past the nine hex bubble.
