Mjollnir
« on: June 18, 2012, 04:49:05 PM »

Here is another design for the Principality of Rasalhague, the Mjollnir, named after Thor's hammer.
Let's say, it would be the assault component of the tank units of the Principality, designed to deal with fixed fortifications or other tanks (either for breakthroughs or counter strikes) but not infantry and it should not be kept in battles for long, something like a Tiger.

I have two options for the secondary weapons, either a Rocket Launcher-15 or 2 Vehicle Grenade Launchers (1 with Smoke and the other with Fragmentation).

The Mjollnir just looks like the Zhukov (http://www.solaris7.com/Images/TRO/Vehicles/Zhukov.jpg)

As for the Gram, let me know what you think.

I like it the Heavy Rifles (all the Rifles) are pretty inefficient but they would fit in pretty well for people with little in the way of funding or factories.

I personally like the Rocket Launcher-15 as the back up or even two RL-10s as the one shot punch which fits in well with the "Blitz" use of the tank.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Blitzkrieg works well the first few times then you have to look in your goody bag for more devious tricks. Something Ice Hellion knows all too well.  ;)

Blitzkrieg? I said breakthrough or counterstrikes but not Blitzkrieg.
The only "blitz" you will see with it is the length of its battles (not enough ammo).

Blitzkrieg I'd say works for it, Translation is lightning war, in this case a vehicle hits an enemy but that's battle is quickly over

I'd say the ammo and rockets fit that philosophy perfectly
