Just a quick design I whipped up. Is it worth it? Mentally I've given it the Low Profile and Gas Hog quirks.

It is a good idea, but I would place an AC 20 rather then a gauss rifle just for the shear kill and crush thought
-
While you would do more damage with such a swap you'd lose a ton of range in the exchange. It is strange to see such a low tech design with a Gauss.
-
David CGB - Takiro hit on why I put a gauss on this thing, the range. That allows it atleast a chance to fall back to it's next position.
Takiro - Thanks :). The joys of fuel cell designs.
I did forget to redo the standard armor layout. It should be much more forward canted.

it is interesting cause I wonder in light of total warfare what would be more effective as a tank destroyer, Big hits or rapid repeated hits? nominally an LB-20 would be king in that regard with a RAC 5 following up...

I find it a bit slow. Not when waiting for its prey but when trying to escape.

Honestly I kinda think the multiple hits wins out with the better chance at some form of critical hit. But the big boomstick somehow feels more right.
