I like this no frills autocannon carrier. Reminds me a lot of the LRM and SRM carrier. Did you consider lower caliber autocannons (AC/5 and AC/2) for longer range? Could be a fine anti-aircraft platform as well. I could see militias all around the InnerSphere deploying units just like this.

Not really as I think they lack the punch of the AC/10 (I am a fan of this gun).
And militias were one of my targets (Periphery powers being the other).

agreed AA platforms would be very useful, but AC/10s could be used in this role too

Perhaps a turret would be needed then?

If not, you could mount 3 AC-5 and 4 AC-2.
