Last design today, I promise!
All right, then, since you said you might need a Taurian fighter, well, here one is. (Here is one?) Anyway, the Fury is just a simple design that could probably be manufactured in quantity (which the Taurians need) and is pretty good even against Star League tech (which the Taurians need even more). Hope you like her!

==Overview:==
The Fury is a medium-weight Taurian fighter introduced just prior to the
Reunification War to counter the Terran Hegemony/Star League Defense Force
advantage in technology. Although this new fighter craft lacked any high-tech
bells and whistles, it was simple to construct, reasonably low-cost, and
decidely lethal in the hands of a properly trained and motivated pilot.
The Fury uses a 325-rate fusion engine to acheive an acceleration of 3.5-g's
safe and 5.5-g's emergency full on a 65-ton frame. The base chassis has
classic streamlined, aerodynamic lines found on many of the best partial
delta-wing conventional fighters of the past centuries, and proved
exceptionally well handled in the lower atmosphere. A five ton fuel tank
supplies ample, but not exceptional tankage of fuel.
Armor protection consists of 9.5 tons of standard armor, allowing the Fury to
shrug off threshold penetration by medium lasers or lighter weapons on the
nose and wings (although the tail can be thresholded by a medium laser).
Armament is simple and to the point: a nose-mounted PPC is the primary
weapon, backed up by four wing-mounted medium lasers--two per wing. A fifth
medium laser is mounted in the tail to discourage pursuit. Twenty-two heat
sinks provide enough dissipation for the pilot to fire all five forward
weapons without generating overheat; or alternatively, the PPC, two
wing-mounted lasers, and the tail laser.
One of the heaviest aerospace fighters produced by the Taurians in quantity,
the Fury quickly became one of the major participants in all battles during
that two-decade long campaign. TDF ground forces also used the Fury
extensively because of its excellent strafing abilities and heavy bomb load (a
fully laden Fury could lift thirteen tons of ordnance and still move at 2-g's
safe and 3-g's emergency).
Following the end of the war, SLDF occupation forces destroyed all plans and
schematics for the Fury and attempted to wipe out all mention of the fighter
that had given their own aero forces such a difficult time during the
conflict.
