Clan Summaries (early 3050s)
« on: March 22, 2018, 09:16:50 PM »

Hey gang, not sure you've been following along over on CBT but I've been throwing a summary of Clans together for some potential new players choosing a Clan for the first time. Gonna run them through Trials of Position to begin with. So I've completed two thus far and am working on the third now. Love to here what you think and please tell me how you describe your favorite Clan at this time. Enjoy!!

BLOOD SPIRIT
Leaders: Khan Karianna Schmitt & saKhan Daryl Keller
Exclusive Bloodnames: 11 – Boques (General), Campbell (General), Schmitt (Mechwarrior), Church (Mechwarrior), Lewis (Mechwarrior), Keller (Mechwarrior), Yanez (Elemental), Pitcher (Elemental), Cluff (Elemental), Johns (Pilot), McFadden (Pilot)
Political Affiliation: Home Crusader
Military Strength: 44 Clusters (11 Galaxies)
Signature ‘Mechs: Blood Kite, Kingfisher, Crossbow, Stooping Hawk
Warships:
Homeworlds: 2 – York [capital] (90%), Arcadia (22%)
Summary: Representing the esprit de corps of the original Star League Defense Force (SLDF) this Clan was ill prepared for the new martial society evolving around it. Selflessly spreading brotherhood through diplomacy with their fellow Clans cost them dearly as they were repaid in large part with hostility. Left destitute and isolated the Spirits developed what could arguable be called the best warrior quality of any Clan. With limited resources they are generally poorly equipped but make up for this with unmatched fanaticism in the face of would be attackers. While they keep to themselves and hate the Burrock Clan for their frequent savage raids the Blood Spirits do have friends. Both Fire Mandrill and Snow Raven can count themselves among their allies while Diamond Shark is allowed to do business with the Spirits. Recently drawn by the results of the invasion the Clan has begun to reach out cautiously to others but they remain wary of outsiders. Their xenophobia has made their domestic affairs much friendlier than other Clans as barriers between castes are relatively few in comparison.

BURROCK
Leaders: Khan Michael Holliday & saKhan Veronica Moreau
Exclusive Bloodnames: 13 – Gastopiv (General), Hutchinson (General) Marghar (General), Polczyk (General), Lamongue (Mechwarrior), Linn (Mechwarrior), Van Houten (Mechwarrior), Holliday (Elemental), McMillan (Elemental), Opriq (Elemental), Columbo (Pilot), Moreau (Pilot), Nga (Pilot)
Political Affiliation: Home Crusader
Military Strength: 32 Clusters (7 Galaxies)
Signature ‘Mechs: Mist Lynx (Koshi), Viper (Dragonfly), Stormcrow (Ryoken), Hellbringer (Loki), Summoner (Thor), Gargoyle (Man O’War), Executioner (Gladiator)
Warships: 15
Homeworlds: 5 – Albion [capital] (100%), Priori (48%), Hoard (35%), Dagda (24%), Paxon (0%)
Summary: Named for an acid secreting invertebrate that can tunnel through solid rock this Clan was founded by twin brothers from the Rim Worlds Republic. Hard fighting during the Pentagon campaign coupled with the Grand Council’s failure to act against what they perceived as unClanlike behavior left them disenchanted with the Clans as a whole and weaker militarily. Growing ever more cynical a group of rebels attempted to breakaway from Kerensky’s society but the Clan with the help of the Cloud Cobras bought them justice. These experiences have left them ever vigilant and perhaps the finest bandit hunters in known space. Superb raiders the Burrocks’ pride themselves on finding and exploiting an opponent’s weak points for maximum effect. Their constant complaints before the Grand Council and merciless attacks against those they see dishonorable have made them quite a few bitter enemies. Notably these include Blood Spirit and Fire Mandrill who are considered their most hated foes but also includes Smoke Jaguar and Goliath Scorpion with whom they have frequently sparred. The Clan has also forged alliances with Cloud Cobra and Star Adder which have continued to prove beneficial to them today. The leadership of the Clan has recently changed and the Burrocks now hope to take part in a renewed invasion of the InnerSphere after the grand failure of Tukayyid.
