Yep!

I expect the Capellan worlds to be more difficult, but not impossible. Ultimately I hope to use the Draconis, Capellan, and Free Worlds data to extrapolate populations in the Commonwealth and Federation. (And then, if I haven't burned out, look at population growth between my 3025 figures and the 3067 House Handbooks.)

tl;dr- The 150ish worlds in the old House sourcebooks contain about 90% of the Inner Sphere's population. There's only about 450 "settled" worlds in all, and conquest makes House borders fluctuate by +/-10. The core of the Inner Sphere is more densely settled than the fringes, which is probably why it's more hotly contested; and (at least in the FWL) a region's military output seems to be within a factor of two of its overall economic output.

Also, I haven't made a serious go at charting the Inner Sphere in 3D, but the sourcebooks seem to wrap the Duchy of Andurien above or below Irian, not far from the Lyran border.

The AFFS might build fewer 'mechs to support its 73 regiments/221 battalions (including March Militias but not mercenaries), because its leaders are slightly more competent.  On the other hand, they still have difficulties like the Galtor campaign which would require rebuilding whole units, and they employ 28 mercenary regiments/86 mercenary battalions.  At Marik or Liao replacement rates, this would come out to around 650-700 'mechs per year.

The Kuritans deployed 62 regiments for 193 battalions (not including mercs), so even at Marik or Liao replacement levels they'd be building 550-600 'mechs per year.

It's quite gratifying that these production rates match the ones embedded in MechWarrior 1st Edition RPG so closely.

It adds an extra layer of confidence to my discoveries that 'Mech production had risen to 3600/year by 3050, and back to 3600/year in 3052 (after losing some factories to the Clans); that there were 55k 'Mechs, 15k Aerospace fighters, and 3k LAMs in known space in 3025, with 20k 'Mechs under Hilton Head, and 79k 'Mechs deployed in 3050.
