Possible new feature: DEATH BATTLE!
« on: August 22, 2012, 10:38:11 AM »

So first off I can not call this "Death Battle" because that is a trademark of Screw Attack,. a website I love and respect.  so let me ask this.  if we at Arbitration Studios were to use MW Tactics to record duels to the death, ostensibly of legendary characters what should we call it?

secondly in terms of production.  and this may be pulling back the curtain a little to much but I want some opinions.  Should the Studios extensively play test a scenario, aggregate results and create a video based on that study, or should we let the MW Tactics engine take control and do the job for us?

If you are going to off all the BT legends of combat one by one, you can really go no further than Grey Norton.

Call the segment Ledged Killer.

As to the second part, no idea.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

I like the Legend Killer idea, also it might be a little cheesy but when you said BT legends of combat that intrigued me as well (BattleTech: Legends of Combat)

Also to the point about whether you should play test or let the engine determine the outcome I would imaging you should try to let the engine determine the outcome a few times and see if its exciting enough or if you need to spruce it up.

I have been dusting off this idea and writing scripts since I have been playing in the MWtactics beta.  I have three written so far

Kai Allard Liao Vs Natasha Kerensky- Elite Vs Elite!

Cameron St Jamais Vs Precentor Apollyon- Battle of the Butchers

Hanse Davion Vs Takahashi Kurita- the Epitome of the Dragon and the Sword Rivalry

Further I do have one I want to write in the nearishg Future

Ariel Peregrine-Simson Vs Grayson "Death" Carlye- the working man Mercenaries.

what others would you like to see
