The idea is an attempt to emulate the Clan fast heavy cavalry mechs that were so devastating in Operation Revival. Starting with the
Thor and
Loki omnimechs, the project quickly took on a life of its own. A mix of speed and striking power places the
Hyena in a category to the ill-fated
Linebacker heavy omnimech of Clan Wolf. Although the missile racks lack advanced technologies such as Streak or Artemis guidance systems, mechwarriors appreciate the ability to tailor the ammunition to the mission needs.
