This is a thought experiment I did to try and replicate the Hellstar using Inner Sphere technology.  no one will argue it is better then Clan built nightmare fuel that is the classic Hellstar, BUT I figure that both the Horses and the Exiles would be far too tied up in replacing their own losses to sell these mechs to beleaguered clients like ohhhhh say the Federated Suns.

Can see that going very badly when someone pushes the RHS too hard, but that is the risk you run and until it fails, that is a beast of a mech.

To be honest I'm unfamiliar with a Radical Heat Sink. I assume it is experimental but the Inner Sphere ER PPCs just lack the raw firepower of the Clans which takes alot of the sheer terror of the Hellstar out this design. Did you consider replacing 2 PPCs with Gauss Rifles? You might be able to do that by dropping the 'Mechs speed and Heat Sinks - I admittedly haven't worked the math on that - but I have tried to create a Spheroid Hellstar before.

Radical heat sinks function EXACTLY like MASC in terms of failure rate and and subtract an additional heat for every functioning heat sink you have.  if it fails you suffer a rupture that makes you gain 1 heat for movement and 1 heat for firing weapons (on top of normal heat)

the reason I went with pure energy was for the same reason the Hellstar does... endurance.  you add gauss slugs and you tie the mech to a supply chain, even if I would have upped the firepower and reduced the heat burden.  again I realize full well this is not an ideal replacement, but more a home brew project for powers that  can not pay for the clan design do to a lack of production.  heck it even beats out the Clan Model by about 2 Million C Bills so I can not say it is cheaper.

Swapping one or two of the ER PPCs for standard PPCs might make the heat curve more bearable.
