A World Without Wobbies
« on: February 04, 2012, 06:01:18 AM »

When putting together the 3067 Map, I thought about how I could get rid of the Wobbies.  So I have come up with a map for 3080, which I will write the background for and provide to those who wish for a BT universe free of the WoB, healthy and full of WarShip loving.

It won't be detailed like the Kapteyn Universe, who's investigation into automation is still ongoing, but it is something to keep me feeling creative when I am not writing stories.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

I look forward to this. Does the Star League disband? What happens to the Master? No Wobbies? ComStar?

I thought this was connected to Kapteyn, as there wont be mad Wolverines infiltrating ComStar and thus no Wobbies.

But I guess you have a different approach there? (CS as is is quite big itself, so..)

Interesting to see that the Ice Hellions are still around in this.

Even more Interesting to see the Provincial Capitals of the Terran Protectorate. The AMC is still active?

And the Irece Prefecture is still the home of the Nova Cats?

Ciao

That map is the ideal of where I want to get to from 3067.  However, things may change as I belt along.

The map still says 3067 at the bottom. I thought that was the 3080 one?

Oh I hate me some Blakers!

Nova, I'm wondering if your Terran Protectorate is going to be like my Terran Union a merc nation lead by the Wolf Dragoons and the Northwind Highlanders for starters.

Can't wait for the hate!

Inner Sphere News - October 21st, 3066

In what is beginning to be called the ComGuard Blackout, numerous ComStar Divisions have suddenly departed their regular postings and vanished into the depths of the Inner Sphere.  It is not apparent where these forces are heading, or what the purpose of their movement is, but one thing is certain, the movement of over two dozen ComStar Divisions, almost all ComGuard units not on the Clan Front, has worried many observes.

The most nervous onlooker would be the Word of Blake, who have openly decried the move, calling it "...a destabilising and reckless action."  However, the forces of the Word of Blake have also begun movements, seemingly in reaction to the vanishing of the ComGuard forces.  Blakeist forces across the Chaos March are either digging in, or have pulled out of more exposed postings, consolidating their forces closer to Terra.

Inner Sphere News - March 11th, 3067

The ongoing mystery of the vanished ComGuard Divisions, or at least a few of them, has been broken, as several of the departed Divisions have been seen on the worlds of Terra Firma, Epsilon Indi and strangely enough, Outreach.  These postings, although not generating conflict, due to the Word of Blake's withdrawal from those worlds prior, have further added weight to the speculation that ComStar is planning a showdown with its errant former brethren.

However, the size of the ComStar forces, either located or still missing, seems to be a vast overkill for the size of the Word of Blake Militia.  Unnamed sources within ComStar however, state that they believe the Word to have been misleading the Inner Sphere in regards to its military capabilities for some time now.

The arrival of ComGuard forces on Outreach has further added fuel to the fire, as this is the first time that Wolf’s Dragoons have allowed such a large, non-mercenary force to have access to the world.  No comment has been forthcoming from Dragoon Headquarters, only adding fuel to the rumour mill’s fire.

Inner Sphere News - May 5th, 3067

The appearance of further ComGuard forces on Northwind and Capolla may seem to indicate an imminent clash with ComStar’s former brethren, but the matter is not so simple.  Mercenary regiments, whose parent organisations belong to the Allied Mercenary Command (AMC), have been executing get-out-clauses in their contracts and massing on Northwind, Outreach and other nearby worlds.

Formed to combat the Word of Blake’s advances in the Chaos March, the AMC seems to be acting in concert with ComStar, as the posting of several Divisions of ComGuards to Outreach  and Northwind seems to bear out.  It would now appear that ComStar and the AMC are planning to bring the Word of Blake to heal, but such action will no doubt have deep repercussions in the Star League Council.

However, several of the vanished ComStar Divisions have still not been accounted for, leading some to believe they are on a secret mission of some kind against the Word of Blake.  However, such speculation cannot be supported, at least not yet, as additional Blakeist facilities outside of Terra and Gibson are not known to exist.
