Imagine an Inner Sphere which looks more like this circa 3025. What sort of political shennanigans would need to take place for this to exist?

I could have seen a universe like this with the lack of jumpships powers grew and separated from their larger unions as they needed to survive on their own with the resources close to them.

Successful alliances of the smallest states when the big ones should have formed themselves.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Such a busy map, should be broken down into smaller ones.

Haha I never noticed the second version of the map it is so busy.

The only real issue I have with it is the Clan Worlds and Minnesota Tribe being so close to the Inner Sphere 20 factions (assuming they all exist) that close to the Inner Sphere if they had the same tech they had in canon then they'd steamroll nearby factions very very quickly.

But I do love the effort that was put into it its a real great piece of work
