Ghost Bear Touman Organization and Overview
With forty-one Clusters divided among ten Galaxies, Clan Ghost Bear is one of the most powerful Clans of Kerensky in the present day.  This Clan has slowly, gradually, and cautiously built up their strength over the years—but has never backed down from a fight.  Taking the long view, the Bears examine all issues, but when they make a decision, it is made and they will see it through to the end.

Each front-line Cluster is organized as follows:  a Command Star of 5 OmniMechs, one Supernova with 10 OmniMechs and 50 Elementals, two OmniMech Trinary, one Elemental Binary, and one OmniFighter Binary, for a total strength of 45 OmniMechs, 100 Elementals, and 20 OmniFighters.  Transport is provided by one Overlord-C class DropShip (both OmniMech Trinary and the Command Star, plus Cluster HQ staff), one modified Union-C class DropShip (Supernova), one Sassanid class DropShip, and one Charybdis class DropShip modified for 20 fighter bays and greater cargo volume.  Interstellar transport consists of one Odyssey-class JumpShip for all front-line Clusters except the Ourse Keshik, which is assigned to the Clan’s Flagship, the Nightlord-class Ursa Major.  The Ursa Major has had the internal OmniMech drop-bays removed from the design in favor of ten small craft and a dedicated Clan headquarters, although the 450 of the Marine Elementals were retained onboard.  Organized into six Trinary (designated as the 1st Claw, 2nd Claw, etc.), these Elementals often operate in support of the Ourse Keshik.

Furthermore, each front-line Galaxy includes a Command Trinary of 15 OmniMechs.  Transport is provided by a single Overlord-C class DropShip and an Aggressor-class JumpShip, with the second docking collar being taken up by an Assault DropShip.

Second-line/garrison Clusters include a Command Star of 5 BattleMechs, two BattleMech Trinary, two Infantry Trinary with 10 vehicles, 25 Elementals, and 125 Conventional Infantry each, and one Aerospace Fighter Binary, for a total strength of 35 BattleMechs, 20 vehicles, 50 Elementals, 250 Conventional Infantry, and 20 Aerospace Fighters.  Transport assets consist of one Overlord-C class DropShip (both BattleMech Trinary, plus Command Star and Cluster HQ), two Seeker-C class DropShips (each with an Infantry Trinary), and one Charybdis class DropShip modified for 20 fighter bays and greater cargo volume.  Each Cluster has their own Odyssey-class JumpShip assigned as well.

The Bears do not have the largest Merchant Fleet, but they possess a respectable one that meets their needs.  Active duty vessels consist of 20 Voyager-class, 20 Traveler-class, and 40 Discovery-class that generally meet the needs of the Bears.  If more JumpShips are required, they hire them; one of the benefits of being a large and powerful Clan.  10 Voyager-class, 10 Traveler-class, and 20 Discovery-class are kept in reserve mothballs at the Naval Cache orbiting Bearclaw.

Total strength of the Bear Touman is 13 WarShips, 165 JumpShips (30 Voyager-class, 30 Traveler-class, 40 Odyssey-class, 60 Discovery-class, 5 Aggressor-class), 188 military DropShips (including 14 Assault DropShips assigned to the Naval Stars), 518 civilian DropShips, 1020 OmniMechs, 700 BattleMechs, 400 vehicles, 3975 Elementals, 5000 Conventional Infantry, 660 OmniFighters, and 400 Aerospace Fighters.

Operation Revival
The Ghost Bears are being very cautious about Revival.  They have committed four of their five front-line Galaxies, and three of their five second-line Galaxies.   This leaves just three Galaxies in the Homeworlds:  the second line Omicron and Sigma Galaxies with two clusters each stationed on Arcadia, Bearclaw, Strana Mechty, and Tokasha, and the front-line Galaxy Rho which remains concentrated on Bearclaw, along with the Brown Bear Naval Star orbiting overhead.

The remainder of the Bear Touman is concentrated on Paran in the Chainelane Isles in anticipation of the launch of Operation Revival.  Shared with the Snow Ravens, the Bears have worked hand-in-glove with their allies in that Clan to build up impressive factory complexes and defenses, including ground-based SDS systems.  While far from the impressive 360-degree coverage of the SLDF systems, the Bears and Ravens have managed to install a system that protects the most important areas of their enclaves from orbital fire.

A sweeping change for the Mandrills. I have to say I approve. I'd like to come up with a ape name for the whole action and also I'd keep some fractious element to the Clan. Maybe their bloodname houses remain powerful or they are all true independents who find team work distasteful. The ultimate glory to the individual. Just spit balling here.

Good ideas, and I will work on it . . . unless you are volunteering?

Never volunteer.  ;)

I'm here to help though as always. I was thinking about this more last night. I see Malone as a real lone wolf type of character. This quiet loner develops a reputation for combat excellence despite his own efforts to keep a low profile. While he wants to be the best warrior possible he scorns glory offered to him by politicians and others who would use him to their own ends. His remarks that ranks don't confer authority rather they are a mark of past accomplishment not future performance earns him the hatred of some. In spite of his commanders best efforts, who call him a problem case who doesn't take orders, he is promoted through sheer skill and those who would still try to use him to their own ends.

When he becomes Khan a useless position to get rid of him think TR he has earned the respect of a significant portion of the Clan. The 200 (should have a special name for them and him), freebirths (as he sees no distinction), and the lower castes love him. Hence the Civil War (name needed).

His philosophy and freebirths influence produce exceptional individual warriors who use their own initiative frequently on the battlefield. True warriors of Kerensky. In spite of poor strategic vision this new Clan philosophy sweeps the Mandrills makes them quite successful thus far.

Goliath Scorpion Touman Organization and Overview
The smallest of the Clans of Kerensky, the Goliath Scorpions are a capable combined-arms force, but one that normally avoids conflict with the larger and more powerful Clans as they defend their enclaves with seeking to expand their borders beyond their ability to protect.

There are four types of Scorpion Clusters:  the front line Cuirassier Clusters (assault/heavy formations), Dragoon Clusters (heavy/medium formations), Hussar Clusters (light/medium formations), and the second line/garrison Gendarme Clusters.

All three front line formations are organized exactly the same:  one Trinary Command (12 OmniMechs, 10 Elementals, 2 OmniFighters), two Trinary Assault (10 OmniMechs, 25 Elementals), one Trinary Battle (5 OmniMechs, 25 Elementals, 10 OmniFighters), and one Trinary Striker (10 OmniMechs, 10 OmniFighters).  All DropShip transport is based on the Scorpion class semi-modular design (6600 tons with a configurable cargo/passenger/troop bay), with each Cluster have five Scorpions assigned, plus one Death Dancer class Assault DropShip.  Interstellar transport consists of one Voyager-class JumpShip.

The Gendarme Clusters (second line/garrison forces) are built around two Binary of BattleMechs, a mixed Trinary of 10 BattleMechs and 10 combat vehicles, two Infantry Trinary (each with 10 vehicles, 25 Elementals, and 125 Conventional Infantry), and one Binary of Aerospace Fighters.  Transport is six Scorpion class DropShips and one Voyager-class JumpShip.

The Scorpion Fleet has actually shrunk in the past half-century.  A major jump accident triggered by a Mandrill merchant convoy fleeing the Mandrill Purge in 3021 jumped directly into the center of a Scorpion force on maneuvers.  The battleships Lei Kung and Atropos, heavy cruisers Serket, Corona Austrina, Corona Borealis, and transport Collrane were either outright destroyed or crippled beyond all state of repair, four more ships were heavily damaged but were able to be restored—the seventeen incoming Mandrill JumpShips were lost with all hands.  Although this blow to their naval forces was staggering, the Scorpions set to work rebuilding.  Today, they have managed to raise their Fleet Strength to 16 WarShips—still one less than they fielded prior to 3021.

Maintaining an average Merchant Fleet, the Scorpions have 9 Voyager-class, 40 Odyssey-class, and 20 Aggressor-class JumpShips on active duty.  Reserve ships consist of 10 Voyager-class, 10 Odyssey-class, and 20 Discovery-class kept in mothballs at the Clan Naval Cache orbiting Rondane.

The Scorpion Touman fields a total strength of 16 WarShips, 130 JumpShips (50 Voyager-class, 50 Odyssey-class, 20 Discovery-class, and 20 Aggressor-class), 212 military DropShips (including 42 Death Dancer class Assault DropShips), 98 civilian DropShips, 752 OmniMechs, 450 BattleMechs, 450 vehicles, 2810 Elementals, 3750 Conventional Infantry, 532 OmniFighters, and 300 Aerospace Fighters.

Operation Revival
Although Wardens at heart, the Scorpions have jumped into Revival with both feet.  The Khans negotiated with Clan Diamond Shark to transport well over 80% of their total civilian population (42 million) from the Homeworlds to Rondane in the Chainelane Isles.  In return, the Sharks received the infrastructure, manufacturing complexes, agricultural cultivation, mines, and some four million Scorpion civilians on the worlds of Marshall and Tokasha.  This transfer took two decades to accomplish, it has transformed Rondane from a Periphery back-water to one of the most populated worlds (total population of 58 million, including the natives inducted into the Clan).  With the aid and assistance of the Sharks, the Scorpions have built up their manufacturing facilities on planet, becoming total self-sufficient in 3045.  Defenses of Rondane are heavy, with SDS systems covering approximately 44% of the planet, with work continuing on expanding the system to this day.  In 3048, the Scorpions officially transferred their capital from Roche to Rondane, causing consternation among the Clans; although others have moved civilians, none have gone as far as the Scorpions.  And some more conservative Clans believe that the Scorpions are, in effect, abandoning the Homeworlds.

Indeed, the Scorpions are preparing to transfer their holdings on Roche to the Wolves, which will leave them with just two enclaves in the Homeworlds:  Strana Mechty and Dagda, with a population of only nine million civilians divided between those two systems.  Current plans call for the handover of Roche to be accomplished by 3052.

Six full Galaxies have been transferred to the Isles:  three front line and three second line/garrison, leaving just three Galaxies remaining in the Homeworlds (one front line and two second line/garrison).  Theta Garrison Galaxy remains on Dagda, while Iota garrison Roche.  In addition, the front-line Gamma Galaxy (long the defenders of Roche) remain in the Homeworlds, with the 3rd Scorpion Dragoons stationed on Strana Mechty and the remaining three Clusters on Roche.  When the handover of Roche finally takes place, Iota will move to the Strana Mechty enclave, while Gamma redeploys to Rondane, taking up their place as the defenders of the new Scorpion capital.

All of the Scorpion military Fleet (and much of the civilian Fleet) has transferred to the Isles as well.

The Scorpions have spent tremendous amounts of time and resources on integrating the native population of Rondane into their society; and that work has managed to pay significant dividends.  The infusion of fresh blood and genetic diversity into the Scorpion ranks has revitalized the Clan and the Khans have plans to raise a sixth second line/garrison Galaxy within the next four years.

The Seekers have mostly been recalled to their Clusters, with only a handful still Questing.  Although a minority of Seekers (and the Clan Loremaster) object to the recall, the majority of the Scorpions supported the decision and this move allowed the Scorpions to expand their front line and garrison forces alike prior to Revival.

Is there still an Elemental heavy Galaxy in the Clan Ghost Bear Touman?

And is the Heartvenom Cluster still so special?

Hell’s Horses Touman Organization and Overview
Unique among their Clans for the acceptance of the role of combat vehicles in front line formations (while the Blood Spirits use vehicles, they are viewed very differently by those Warriors than that taken by the Horses), the powerful Horse Touman is difficult for many Clans to combat.  While they possess fewer BattleMechs and OmniMechs than any other Clan except for the Cloud Cobras, they have over fourteen hundred combat vehicles that provide a substantial force multiplier.

Front line Clusters are organized around a Command Binary of 5 OmniMechs and 10 vehicles, a mixed Trinary with 10 OmniMechs and 10 vehicles, two Supernovas with 10 OmniMechs and 50 Elementals each, an Infantry Trinary with 10 vehicles, 25 Elementals, and 125 Conventional Infantry, and an Aerospace Binary with 20 OmniFighters, for a total strength of 35 OmniMechs, 30 vehicles, 125 Elementals, 125 Conventional Infantry, and 20 OmniFighters.  Transport consists of three Overlord-C class DropShips modified to carry the entire Cluster Touman, with an attached Discovery-class JumpShip.

Each front line Galaxy has a Command Element consisting of a Supernova of 10 OmniMechs and 50 Elementals, supported by a Binary of vehicles, and an Artillery Binary of 10 OmniMechs.  The Galaxy Command is transported aboard an Overlord-C class DropShip, modified to board the vehicles and Elementals and house the Galaxy HQ staff, along with spare parts and munitions for the Galaxy.  In addition, a Death Dancer class Assault DropShip is assigned, along with an Aggressor-class JumpShip for transport.

Second line/garrison Clusters are similar, but not quite identical.  Each has a Command Binary of 5 BattleMechs and 10 vehicle, two mixed Trinary with 10 BattleMechs and 10 vehicles each, two Infantry Trinary (10 vehicles, 25 Elementals, and 125 Conventional Infantry ea), and an Aerospace Binary (20 Aerospace Fighters), for a total strength of 25 BattleMechs, 50 vehicles, 50 Elementals, 250 Conventional Infantry, and 20 Aerospace Fighters.  Transport consists of three Overlord-C class DropShips modified to carry the entire Cluster Touman, with an attached Discovery-class JumpShip.

The Horses Fleet is fairly small, but powerful, with 10 WarShips divided into two Stars:  one built for combat and the second for transport operations with a secondary combat role.  Sixty-two Merchant vessels are on active duty:  10 Voyager-class, 10 Odyssey-class, 6 Discovery-class, and 36 Aggressor-class, with an additional twenty ships in reserve at the Clan Naval Cache orbiting Niles (10 Traveler-class and 10 Odyssey-class).

Total Touman strength is 10 WarShips, 120 JumpShips (10 Voyager-class, 10 Traveler-class, 20 Odyssey-class, 40 Discovery-class, and 40 Aggressor-class), 116 military DropShips (including 10 Death Dancer class Assault Ships), 399 civilian DropShips, 710 OmniMechs, 400 BattleMechs, 1420 vehicles, 3650 Elementals, 6250 Conventional Infantry, 490 OmniFighters, and 320 Aerospace Fighters.

Operation Revival
The Horses are eager as they stand ready at the gates to prove themselves in Operation Revival.  They have forward deployed three front line and two garrison Galaxies to Syrstart in the Chainelane Isles, a world that they share with the Diamond Sharks.  The substantial infantry strength of the Horse Touman has been a godsend in pacifying the people Syrstart, allowing the Horses to built up a moderate factory complex and stockpile tremendous amounts of munitions and spare parts.  Although the Clan has been unable to install more than a bare-bones rudimentary ground-based SDS network, they benefit from the close proximity of the Shark SDS bases which are far more extensive and fearsome.  Since Horse engineers were hopelessly behind schedule in installing Naval Lasers and PPCs in the ground bases, the Khans instead decided to focus on massed batteries of Capital Missiles to protect the factories and warehouses.  Much lighter in firepower than other SDS systems, these missiles can devastate any fighter, small craft, or DropShip assault easily, but are not quite as useful against capital WarShips.

Three Galaxies (one front line and two second line/garrison) remain to protect enclaves of the Herd in the Homeworlds.  Gamma Galaxy (a front line unit) is stationed on the Horse capital of Niles, with the 99th Mechanized Cavalry deployed to Strana Mechty.  Eta and Theta Garrison Galaxies are divided with two clusters each stationed on Eden, Kirin, Strato Domingo, and Tiber.

To make matters worse, the Horses have deployed both their Naval Stars to Syrstart, leaving no WarShips active in the Homeworlds.  However, the Ravens have contracted to restore to service the final five WarShips from the Horses Naval Cache:  one Aegis-class Cruiser, one Congress-class Frigate two ancient Naga-class Destroyers, and one Vincent Mk. 39-class Corvette.  These first of these overhauled and reactivated vessels is expect enter service in 3051, with the last being delivered in 3054.

Is there still an Elemental heavy Galaxy in the Clan Ghost Bear Touman?

And is the Heartvenom Cluster still so special?

No.  I got rid of the four Claw Clusters.  However, the Ursa Major carries 450 Marine Elementals organized into six Trinary of 75 Elementals each . . . and designated as Claw Alpha through Claw Zeta.

If you mean by special, is the Heartvenom Cluster different from the rest, then no.  But it is the spiritual home of the Scorpions, the senior Cluster of the entire Touman manned with the finest Warriors in the Clan.

Ice Hellions will be up next, sometime later today.  I think you will like them, Ice.

Heresy, I know.   ;D  But I wanted to unify the various types of Clusters, and the Cateran always stuck out like a sore thumb.  They still have the Heartvenom Cluster, but now it is just a Dragoon unit.

Ice Hellion Touman Organization and Overview
Rising and falling in power on cyclic basis, the Hellions are currently on an upswing, thanks mainly to the recent change in leadership.  Former Khan Stephen Tyler was killed by a challenger who believed that Tyler’s antagonistic style of leadership and constant umbrage at the Hellion’s fellow Clans was what was keeping the Hellions from rising to power.  Confronting the Khan, Star Colonel Lindsey Bragg killed him in a Trial of Grievance in 3044, and was elected to the post of Khan in the Conclave held immediately afterwards.  Since her elevation, the Hellions have been more restrained and have managed to expand their Touman in anticipation for Revival.

The Hellions field three types of units:  the front line Attack Clusters with medium and heavy weight OmniMechs and OmniFighters, the front line Hellion Lancers with light and medium weight OmniMechs and OmniFighters, and the second line/garrison Hector Cavaliers, fielding a balanced force of lights, mediums, and heavies.  All three of the newly formed Keshiks (one each assigned to the Khan, saKhan, and Loremaster) are medium/heavy units built on the Attack Cluster model.  The Ice Hellions have NO assault weight ‘Mechs in their Touman, relying upon speed and their chosen pack tactics to defeat heavier, slowly forces.

Front line Clusters feature a Command Star of 5 OmniMechs, three Trinary of OmniMechs, a Binary of Elementals, and a Trinary of OmniFighters, for a total of 50 OmniMechs, 50 Elementals, and 30 OmniFighters.  Each Cluster is assigned one Overlord-C class DropShip, one Sassanid-class DropShip, one Union-C class DropShip (for the Command Star and Cluster HQ), one Charybdis class DropShip, and one Hellion Swarm class Assault DropShip, carried aboard a single Traveler-class JumpShip.

Second line Clusters greatly resemble their first line cousins.  Each has a Command Star of 5 BattleMechs, three Trinary of BattleMechs, a Trinary of 10 vehicles, 25 Elementals, and 125 Conventional Infantry, and a Binary of Aerospace Fighters, for a total of 50 BattleMechs, 10 vehicles, 25 Elementals, 125 Conventional Infantry, and 20 Aerospace Fighters.  Transport assets are one Overlord-C, one Fortress-C, one Union-C, one Charybdis, and one Hellion Swarm, carried aboard a Traveler-class JumpShip.

The Hellion Fleet is broken into three Stars . . . though fairly mainstream for the most part, it is highly unusual in one regard.  Instead of using their Potemkin-class Coterie as a transport, the Hellions have instead transformed it into a massive carrier that carries the entire 4th Hellion Aerial Assault Wing.  Embarking 15 Carrier-class DropShips and 10 Hellion Swarm class Assault DropShips, Coterie is able to deliver a massive aerospace force against any target.  On the civilian side, the Hellion Fleet is rather small, with just 20 Odyssey-class, 20 Discovery-class, and 20 Aggressor-class JumpShips on active duty, with an additional 7 Odyssey-class, 5 Discovery-class, and 5 Aggressor-class in mothball reserve over Hector.

Total Hellion force strength is 12 WarShips, 110 JumpShips (33 Traveler-class, 27 Odyssey-class, 25 Discovery-class, and 25 Aggressor-class), 205 military DropShips, 233 civilian DropShips, 900 OmniMechs, 750 BattleMechs, 150 vehicles, 1675 Elementals, 1875 Conventional Infantry, 920 OmniFighters, and 300 Aerospace Fighters.

Operation Revival
Sharing Far Reach with the Nova Cats, the Hellions have arranged to deploy all three Command Keshiks, two front-line Galaxies, and one second Galaxy, along with the Cold Death and The Flurry Naval Stars.  Eager for the Invasion to commence in force, the Hellions are still putting down uprisings to their rule within their enclave.  Indeed, privately Khan Bragg fears that she might well have to call forward another garrison Galaxy if the Inner Sphere conquests are this resistant to conversion to the Clan Way.

Meanwhile, in the Homeworlds, the Hellions are keeping their Delta Galaxy (a front line unit) concentrated on Hector (with one Cluster assigned to Strana Mechty), and has evenly divided the remaining ten garrison Clusters between Atreus, Babylon, Foster, Hoard, and New Kent.  The presence of the Eternal Night Naval Star does alleviate some concerns over the vulnerability of Hellion enclaves, but not entirely.

Just a minor suggestion for more flavour:

Instead of having the Scorpions Nightlord Battleship Atropos being destroyed how about the following.

In wake of the disastrous loss of ships the Scorpions were faced with a difficult choice, wait several years for the Lum Yard to finish building the Nightlord the Clan had ordered just the previous year or accept a trade the Snow Raven's were offering.  A Texas battleship for the uncompleted Nightlord and another WarShip from the Scorpions Naval Cache.
