Sure. That works up until the Jihad. Once those IS Clans are cut off from the Homeworlds, Brian caches would likely be a lot more rare. Then again, I kind of dislike Brian caches, as they come off too often like a cheap excuse to deal with poor planning in the past. It makes me wonder if some of the WoR material isn't aimed at setting things up for the Clans so they can be rebuilt a bit, so plausibility isn't stretched quite so much. Their lack of production (and diversity, even with Omni tech) is a little mind-boggling. I know the Bears and the Ravens make a great deal more sense for me when they add in the FRR/OA production.

Until we are told we just have to assume, which sucks, but then nothing's perfect.  The Is Clans may well be trading for material and maintenance from thier host states, but that still leaves the Falcons/Wolves and maybe Horses still unanswered.

As to the homeworlds, it is either large knowledge gaps, or a super specialised economy, where certain Clans trade certain items with the other Clans to ensure a balanced Touman.

Until I win the lottery and buy the rights to BT, it will likely remain a mystery. However, when I do win, you and MadCap will be first assigned to the Industries Review series.

I'm not sure if that's a compliment, a curse, or some combination of the two.  ;)

Canon for after JHS: Terra. Honestly, the last Handbook really, really needed to be out before this. That way, you could at least say "Here's a 3067 snapshot. Here's a 3085 snapshot (or whatever year Terra finished up)."

Now, you're just going to get a snapshot of "Everybody makes next to nothing. The end." That's not a knock on the product, I'm quite glad to see it. It's just not really representative of what it was for the larger portion of post 3039 history up until the Jihad.

Hopefully they will mention what was lost, giving some sort of background, so that at least we know what the factories produced up to the start of the Jihad.

With the last of the Handbooks, a list can be compiled for the Major Periphery nations and all houses, a list that is current as of 3067 (prior to the start of the Jihad). And with these, a (mostly) post Jihad list can be compiled. Where it gets really murky is things like prior to 3067, but post Objective Raids. Or post 3067, but pre-Terra during the Jihad. You can use the 3067 list, but then you have to go almost manually through several books line by line to say "Okay in 3075, this is what was being made, and here's what was destroyed." You can certainly revert to MadCap's book for some of that, but it does really start to get murky outside of the easily defined 3067 and (eventually) easily defined post-Terra.

During the Jihad itself? Good luck! I'm not committing to that level of research. :)

Edit: To be fair, you can get a general guesstimate of what was lost by using two books for each faction. That would be the appropriate Field Report and Masters & Minions.
