General rambles and a good place for comments/discussion
« on: November 18, 2012, 12:05:27 AM »

This all started with the basic premise... what if the Clans had invaded from the galactic south?
I applied that to the RP my (former) gaming group was embarking upon.  Thus the 12th Wolf Guards were born.

I've tried to keep things from getting too overpowered in the Clans' favour, but we'll see.

Eventually I'll be posting a timeline which will help tie things together.

And some teasers, cause they're fun ;)

I have outlines for 2 more stories.

... In Hannibal's Footsteps, starting in 3070
... The Divergence War, tentatively set in 3180

Also, this thread is a great place to throw cabbage, make comments... or even, dare I say it?, requests!

Thanks for reading all!

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

I've read your stuff over at battletech.com. I like it and it's great to see it all posted here in one place.

It is rather handy to have it all in one place ;)

I know the feeling :) Why my stuff is on here too it's nice and accessible and it gets shared with fellow AU writers

So after a long absence, I'm almost back.  I was working on other writing projects that will hopefully garner profit, so sadly this fun little AU had to be put on the back burner.  Now the dust can be brushed off, and work resumed.  Thankfully all of my notes have remained intact.

I will be finishing "Shedding the Wolf" first and then "Politics and War" even though there's some overlap there.

Following that will be the concurrent arcs of "The War of the Chosen", "In Hannibal's Footsteps", and "The Jade Phoenix Rises."  The events of this 'trilogy' will lead to a period of peace that will be covered in timeline format (with a few news article style pieces), and titled "The Path to 3180."

Before starting the planned stories of that time period I'll post a field manual -esque thread with a status and rundown of all the major factions.

The 3180 stories are tentatively "The Bear Crusades", "The Karluk Expedition", and "The Divergence War" (more may emerge).  That's as far as I've planned in this AU so far.

Well, I've been absent for a long time.  I do hope to finish this one day, but for now it's on hold (shocking, I know ;) )

I've recently gotten 2 stories published on BattleCorps ( Righteous Fury and Sorrow of Eden) which has given me the incentive to focus on BattleTech as well as my own fantasy setting.

Going to post some of the notes and plans... that way you can see where I was going, plus there will be an emergency backup copy of them that way ;)
