This was developed following a discussion between myself and James Tanaga over the Fire Mandrills in my AU who had warriors who didn't want to use standard Inner Sphere BattleMechs but the Clan was not capable of producing masses of Clan technology and didn't want to waste it in second line formations.

Overview
This ground based Kirghiz was developed by Clan Fire Mandrill residing in the Rim Collection as a second-line defensive BattleMech that could form the core of their garrison formations. The Fire Mandrill intention was to mimic as best as they could the primary configuration of the OmniFighter that shares the same name.
Capabilities
Utilizing both Inner Sphere and Clan technology the Kirghiz M is a slow BattleMech with a top speed of only 32kph meaning it will be left behind in any mobile conflict. To keep the Kirghiz M in contention the Fire Mandrills put two gauss rifles and two Extended Range Large Lasers into the BattleMech allowing it to strike at the longest of ranges. For close in defence two leg mounted Streak SRM launchers and an LB-class Autocannon provide supplementary firepower for the lasers and death to any vehicles, Light Mechs or battle armour unit that gets to close to the BattleMech.
Twenty-eight heat sinks allow the Mech to fire its weapons often while eighteen and a half tons of standard armour allows the Mech to take multiple hits and keep going on.
Variants
The Fire Mandrills are known to field a more capable Kirghiz G which is an an advanced OmniMech made of purely Clan technology it is believed the name of the Kirghiz M and G models is intentional and intended to sow confusion with those fighting the Mandrill force.
Deployment
It is believed that all second-line Fire Mandrill units and Rim Collection Garrison Clusters field the Kirghiz M.
