In 3130 the whole of the California Nebula was under the Tribe's rule. Peace reigned, and though it had taken nearly 40 years, the Tribe had built a home for themselves in their exile. Then on march 3rd, 3130, on the outskirts of the nebula, an unknown ship, unmarked, and not broadcasting any transponder codes on IFF frequencies appeared. When challenged, it charged it's K-F drive and jumped away. It did not reappear in any system within jump range, inside the nebula.

An investigation began, and it was determined that this ship had left the nebula, a feat believed impossible. Multiple investigations began as to the identity of the interloper, with groups examining different areas for any signs of outside influence. It was discovered that a civilian manufacturer of electronics, vehicles, and household devices had been actively engaged with numerous businesses within the California Nebula. This organization was also active under the same name within the Inner Sphere, and this fact was belived to be the key to the identity of the unknown ship. Somehow Universal Exports was able to cross the boundary.

Enraged that Universal Exports would leave them in their exile, the Tribe vows revenge. Operation WILD HUNT begins, with the aim of locating and capturing such a ship. Operation BREECH begins, a massive research and development program aimed at finding a way through the nebula's boundary, and armed with the certainty that it is possible. Operation Summer Home begins, gearing the entire nebula to prepare for all out invasion of the Inner Sphere.

The California Nebula was their home now, but the forces that exiled them would pay, and the would claim the rest of the Human Sphere as their home as well.
