Another piece of Elysium Kit, designed explicitly to save money by keeping a ton of modules in the warehouses and swapping at whim.

Universal Weapons Carrier

Overview
the LRM and SRM Carriers have long been filed under the list of “Might as well..” in the world of Omnivehicles.  The EDF simply began doing what other militaries have thought about for half a century.

Capabilities
The only major change made to the UWC from conventional weapons carriers is the use of a fuel cell engine.  While this limits the strategic mobility of the platform, it frees up available tonnage for more ammunition and equipment.  As fixed equipment, a C3 Slave is installed on the frame, allowing UWCs to be linked up with Gallant Command Vehicles forming impressive fire support companies.

the EDF makes a configuration matching the ubiquitous LRM and SRM carrier, as well as an Arrow IV Platform, an anti aircraft oriented Autocannon platform, and Gauss Weapons.  Each serves well in their assigned roles, though many regiments run into trouble when they find their entire companies geared towards the wrong variant for the situation.  To compensate each company of UWC’s carries at least two vehicles geared away from the rest of the company’s specialty.

Deployment
Only slightly less ubiquitous than the Manticore P, every formation in the EDF possesses some of these platforms and is guaranteed the ability to service them in at least four different combat packages. there is a great level of debate among the Joint Chiefs and Sanhedrin regarding the replacement of the LRM and SRM variants wit

...I think the Arrow variant should have MRMs, if they're available.  The six-hex minimum makes me want to switch to SRMs, or use Clan-tech.

my whole idea behind the LRMS was to deploy Thunder Minefields while lobbing artillery, setting up a brief buffer zone.

Thunders are always a good option.  But a dedicated long-range vehicle needs a defense, whether its speed or a close-in weapon.  Even so, it needs companions to defend it.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Deployment method for the EDF is in Batteries of 8, with two batteries (plus HQ company support) in a Fire Support Battalion.  in each battery 6 will be one type with 2 being "supplimentery" types.  in the case of the Arrow IV configuration that would be either the autocannon or Gauss type.  Couple that with the Battalions Paladin Battle armor playing defensive roles and I would say I would have them well covered.
