it is a FANTASTIC roadblock and seige platform.  Arrow IV and LRMS can throw out Minefields, and then provide plenty of reach to hold off.  the SRMS can use infernos for infantry and battle armor while standard SRMs can whether hardened units up close.

BUT, and this is a big but.  it is extremely vunerable to repeated aerospace bombings by aerospace fighters, and useless in a running battle.  like all vehicles it shares a vunerability to flame based weapons, and no armor coverage will save it from being disabled vis a vie critical hits.

where I a commander facing this, I would stand back and let Ballista Artillery and Chippewa Bombers do thier thing, otherwise not even approach it.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.
