WoS Wars of Succession

WoS is based on Blacknova's KU ruleset starting in January of 3001.

Set in the tail end of the third succession war the great powers are taking just a moment to regroup before launching what promises to be another wave of treachery, backstabbing, bold assaults, noble defences and all around war.

Monthly summaries and maps will be posted as they become available.

How to use these forums.

Each month (2 months first issue) will have its own CNN thread. Players and GM can post in the monthly thread their spin on events of the listed game turn. Posts can be stories, stat blocks, news headlines or articles. In Character posts only.

As the next turn is processed and issued a new thread will be put up and the old one will have an "end of issue" post to close it off. Late submissions are accepted but that would be a strong suggestion that it's time to move on to the next month.

Comments Thread is for general comments and questions. Out of character only.

This WoS thread will be for major announcements and GM status updates.

We will add additional threads as needed.

Above all else, realize that this is a game. Have fun!

Are we still planning on re-starting this?  Need to know so I can decided if I will be deleting stuff.

I have had a computer HDD meltdown, and a new job started.

Fortunately I have the current data on a USB stick, and info backed up at previous stages.

I will be restarting this early in the new year, as the Christmas season is hectic with a young family.

Hopefully, I will also have a map (with Matt's help) that I can edit to maintain current.

Sorry for the hiccup.

I am incorporating this current dataset into access.

Processing the turns and providing accurate information was potentially error prone and time consuming as well as swelling the size of the master file beyond what can be easily emailed.

With a database all turn information can be filtered to manageable packets and processed via import / export to generic spreadsheets compatible with open office.

An exported table for force placement would also be easier to import into the map application.

Update on progress to follow.
