Hmmm... what about something similar to the logo of Longwoods Bluecoats(from FM:Mercenaries)?
Their unit insignia is a single Pikeman(see attachment).

Not a bad suggestion. For Emerson what would you have, a giant E? Map outline? I'll have to look at Irose's write up for further suggestions.

Kinda off topic but do we know where Longwood's Bluecoats came from? Could they be the survivors of (in this universe) the Emmerson Pikemen?

If this is the case we could then use something like the Bluecoats symbol as theirs.

for the Capellans is supposed to harken back to pre-Confederation days.
